InWEnt - Capacity Building International, Germany, stands for the development of human resources and organizations within the framework of international cooperation. InWEnt’s range of services target technical and managing staff and decision makers from business, politics, administration and civil society worldwide. Every year, our programmes reach around 50,000 people.
InWEnt’s main financial contributor is the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ).
InWEnt always works together with partner organizations.
We assist our partners in shaping the corporate, organizational, and political change processes in their countries. Our capacity building programmes target experts and executives from politics, public administration, business and industry, and civil society as well as educators and trainers. InWEnt trains these people, helping them to link up with each other world-wide, and to strengthen their action and decision-making competencies. In this way, internationally available knowledge and information is made available to developing and transitional countries.
Business Fields With its experience and competencies, InWEnt is well established in ten business fields. These fields feature an interdisciplinary approach:
InWEnt’s programmes apply a variety of capacity building instruments. We offer practice-oriented advanced education and training, dialogue sessions, and e-Learning. Our capacity building is designed to increase the participants’ scope for action. We offer instruction on interdisciplinary management techniques and impart international and intercultural know-how. In addition, we provide the opportunity to discuss potential solutions to international problems in an informal setting.
InWEnt creates networks that support worldwide learning. After the training programmes, our e-Learning platform Global Campus 21 assists participants with the practical application as well as expansion of their skills.
In order to reach the common objectives in a more effective way, InWEnt collaborates closely with the other German development organizations, including KfW Entwicklungsbank – Financial Cooperation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) – Technical Cooperation, the German Development Service (DED) and the Center for international Migration and Development (CIM). |
