InWEnt works together with people in key positions. We assist them in shaping the corporate, organisational, and political change processes in their countries. Our capacity building programmes focus on human resource development around the world and target experts and executives from the areas of politics, public administration, business and industry, and civil society, as well as educators and trainers.
Each year 35,000 experts and executives from developing and transition countries and another 20,000 from industrialised countries participate in our advanced training programmes. InWEnt provides them with the tools to continue building organisations in the areas of politics, business, and civil society, and to boost their efficacy. InWEnt also contributes to activities designed to improve the general conditions enabling structural change. To this end, we work to enhance the capacities of decision-makers at the political level.
With its experience and competencies, 1nWEnt is well established in ten business fields. These fields feature an interdisciplinary approach:
Qualified to Shape the FutureInWEnt's programmes apply a variety of capacity building instruments. We offer practice¬oriented advanced education and training, dialogue sessions, and e-Learning. Our capacity building is designed to increase the participants' scope for action. We offer instruction on interdisciplinary management techniques and impart international and intercultural know¬how. In addition, we provide the opportunity to discuss potential solutions to international problems in an informal setting.
One of the most important objectives of InWEnt is to create worldwide networks of learning. After the training programmes, our participants can continue to participate in the exchange of knowledge through interdisciplinary and trans-regional global alumni networks. Our e-learning platform Global Campus 21® assists participants with the practical application as well as expansion of their skills.
To be widely effective, to build up structures and to promote Communities of Practice, InWEnt has a three-level approach combining advanced training, human resources and organisational development.

InWEnt strengthens the decision-making competence of individual decision-makers, junior executives and professionals.
Organisation
InWEnt improves the performance of companies, civil society organisations and public authorities.
System
On a political level, InWEnt fosters action and decision-making competence, as well as the competence to take on responsibility.
In its programmes, 1nWEnt applies different instruments for human resources and organisational development. In accordance with the goals agreed with its partners, InWEnt selects these instruments and combines and supplements them with one another. The instruments lnWEnt applies include:
InWEnt’s main financial contributor for the programmes in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia is the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ).
In oder to reach the common objectives in a more effective way, InWEnt collaborates closely with the other German development organizations, including KfW Entwicklungsbank – Financial Cooperation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) – Technical Cooperation, the German Development Service (DED) and the Center for international Migration and Development (CIM).
