InWEnt announces 12-month training on Regional Economic Development Expert from 01 October 2009 to 30 September 2010 in Germany.
Training objectives:
Departing from the German experience in Regional Management and the implementation of concepts of local and regional development, the objectives are to qualify and enable junior executives from public and private institutions to introduce, practice and impart services of coordination and advice.

The International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of InWEnt (Capacity Building International, Germany) announces a two-month training course on "Environmental reporting" for journalists from print and online media from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and Vietnam.The course will be conducted in Berlin, Germany on June 26 to August 21, 2009.

The International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of InWEnt (Capacity Building International, Germany) announces two-week training courses for journalists from print and online media based in Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).The courses will be conducted in Jakarta, Indonesia on the following dates:

German speaking entrepreneurs can apply for the participation of the Entrepreneur Encounter 2009.This includes the attendance of the Hannover Fair 2009 as well as the participation of the protocolary demanding supporting program. The international travel costs have to be borne by the participants, other costs can be sponsored. The Hannover Fair is the world`s biggest industry exhibition (www.hannovermesse.de).

On 28th November 2008 the Vietnamese Office of the Government (OoG) and InWEnt organized a review workshop to debrief the first year 2008`s cooperation activities of the project "Legal Capacity Building for the Office of the Government 2008-2010".In 2008 InWEnt has trained legal experts of the OoG, especially the experts of the Legal Department, and specialists from other state institutions like Assembly Office,

On 28th of November Prof. Le Vu Anh, Dean of Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) and Ms. Sabine Nagel, Director of InWEnt Regional Office Hanoi, officially closed a 4-week pilot course on District Health Management with 28 participants from 9 Vietnamese provinces which are supported by the German Development Cooperation.

A Forum has recently held last month for alumni to share experience and discuss on further cooperation on regional economic development.The Regional Economic Development Forum 2008 was organized from 16th - 21st November in Bogor, Indonesia for InWEnt former participants from program RED Expert, RED Managers, TRIP ASIA

A big number of European and Asian information technology (IT) experts have gathered in a one-day conference to share information and ideas on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) usage in Vietnam and Europe."Drive for change", as the conference was named, was held on 14th November 2008 at Horison Hotel in Hanoi with the participation of more than 80 IT experts.

On November 20th, the InWEnt Regional Office in Hanoi received a German delegation of the German-Vietnamese Program for Specialists. This program is part of the Federal Association for Cultural Education of Children and the Youth of Saxony-Anhalt (Landesvereinigung kulturelle Kinder- und Jugendbildung Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.).According to the program framework, the delegation was particularly interested in the topics of "Cultural Education of the Youth" and "Support of Vocational Training for the Youth".

On 25th of November 2008 Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and InWEnt organized an evaluation dialogue to assess their long cooperation in the framework of a dialogue and training project on Social Security.Since the year 2000 InWEnt has trained more than 400 persons, technical and management staff, and decision-makers of VSS through seminars, workshops and study tours.

On November 11th, after the annual assembly of the Lao-German Friendship Association (LGFA) which was established in the beginning of 2008, the first Alumni meeting was conducted in Vientiane. More than 120 participants attended this event organized by InWEnt in cooperation with DAAD.The German Ambassador to Laos, Dr. Peter Wienand, emphasized in his welcome-speech the great potentials of the cooperation with Alumni from Laos.

The International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of InWEnt - Capacity Building International, Germany, announces a training course on Multimedia and Online Journalism to be held in Berlin from February 2nd to April 3rd, 2009.The training programme of the IIJ aims at strengthening the professional and ethical standards of multimedia journalists, seeking to assist publishing and media houses in the partner countries of the German development cooperation.
