 On 30th June to 2nd July 2010 at the Melia Hotel in Hanoi InWent has organized the 1st Interdisciplinary Alumni Conference in Southeast Asia. The topic of the conference was Regional Integration in Southeast Asia: Leadership challenges and network building.
On the invitation of 9 sector divisions of InWEnt Headquarter Germany, more than 200 InWEnt Alumni gathered in Hanoi to discuss emerging issues of regional integration. The alumni experts, coming from various backgrounds, such as politics, business sector and civil society from all South East Asia countries met for three days during this first Regional Alumni Conference of InWEnt in Hanoi. During the conference, participants not only touched upon existing concerns of governments but also discussed on how nations can shape the cooperation in a manner that fosters the welfare of all member states of South East Asia and its inhabitants. The conference comprised of 9 workshops which discussed on different topics like Media, HIV/AIDS, E-learning, Corporate Responsibility, Vocational Training, Rural Development in the Lower Mekong Basin, Integrated Coastal Zone Management, and Open Source Software.
