The International Institute for Journalism (IIJ) of InWEnt - Capacity Building International, Germany, announces a two week "Newspaper Management Course" to be held in Berlin from October 15 to 29, 2010.

The course aims at enhancing the efficiency and professionalism and thereby the financial viability of independent newspapers and online editions by introducing senior editors and managers of media houses in Africa and Asia to modern management techniquesand by familiarizing them with the new technological and organisational requirements.

 

Target group: Senior editorial and managerial staff including editors, deputy editors, assistant editors, news editors as well as business / commercial managers in small and medium sized newspapers which have an online edition or consider to go online. Women journalists are particularly encouraged to apply.
