District Health Management Training for Vietnam

dhmgroupfoto1On 28th of November Prof. Le Vu Anh, Dean of Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) and Ms. Sabine Nagel, Director of InWEnt Regional Office Hanoi, officially closed a 4-week pilot course on District Health Management with 28 participants from 9 Vietnamese provinces which are supported by the German Development Cooperation.
In the past this course was conducted by InWEnt in English language for 4 countries of the region: Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. With the professional expertise of the partner institution HSPH and contributions from the participants (directors/vice-directors, as well as head/deputy head of different uinits of the Provincial Departments of Health, District Preventive Health Centers and District Hospitals of the respective provinces), the objective of this pilot course was to adapt the contents to the specific health situation and the needs of Vietnam.

This course is part of InWEnt contribution to the German Development Cooperation Programme on Strengthen Provincial Health Systems. After finalizing the adaptation of the course in Vietnamese language, from 2009 it will be conducted regularly at HSPH for Vietnamese partner institutions.
