| Follow-up Workshop of Regional Economic Development Expert (RED) |

Former participants from the two recent batches of the International Leadership Programme (ILT) - Regional Economic Development (RED) have met altogether in a follow-up workshop last May in Beijing.The workshop was held from 12 to 16 May 2009 in Beijing, China with the participation of 29 RED Alumni from the batch 2006 and batch 2007.
The workshop was the chance for the participants to revise and get updated about the current global economic context and its impact on regional economic development. Economic outlook for thecountries Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam, where the participants came from, was also discussed during the workshop. The participants visited German Chamber of Commerce in Beijing and China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, which was the good opportunity for them to have some ideas and experience of Chinas ways of economic development.
During the workshop meeting there were the chance to exchange and consult for the implementation of the participants transfer projects, and discussion on the lesson learnt from their project implementation. |
