| Multimedia and Online Journalism Training Course in Hanoi |

The International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) of Inwent in Berlin conducted a training course on Multimedia and Online Journalism for the first time in Hanoi from November 23 to December 4. The training aimed at enhancing the knowledge of multimedia and online journalism and focused on the journalistic scope and technical features of the Internet. Participants were 15 journalists from different media houses in Hanoi, like Vietnamnet, Labour Newspaper, VN Media, Student Newspaper, Vietnam Television, etc. During the course, the participants were introduced to the basics of internet techniques such as browsers, Web 2.0 and search engines. They also learned how to optimize their online research strategies and discussed the relevance of blogging and mobile reporting. They also analysed news websites referring to design, usability and interactivity and practised how to write and refine articles for the web, how to edit photo editing and to produce podcasting ass well as slideshow.
