Decision makers at national, provincial and district level, development and local partners, training institutions as well as Regional Management core groups from German Development Cooperation's target provinces Siem Reap and Battambang were present at a national Regional Management Forum which took place from 2 to 4 November 2010 in Siem Reap.
Around 50 participants gathered at this forum to increase awareness of key stakeholders and decision makers on regional rural development, to share lessons learned and success factors which need to be addressed in regional rural development, and to agree about the capacity building priorities for 2011.
H.E. Rath Virak, Secretary General of Council for Agricultural and Rural Development - CARD, Council of Ministers highlighted the importance of Regional Management for Cambodia and suggested to implement these concepts countrywide.
