New District Health Management Course for Vietnam

rektor1On November 3rd, 2008, Prof. Le Vu Anh, rector of Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) and Sabine Nagel, director of InWEnt Regional Office Hanoi, officially opened a 4-week pilot course on District Health Management with 30 participants from 9 Vietnamese provinces which are supported by the German Development Cooperation.
In the past this course was conducted by InWEnt in English language for 4 countries in the region: Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. With the professional expertise of the partner institution HSPH and contributions from the participants (representatives of the provincial Departments of Health, District Health Bureaus, Preventive Medicine Centers of the respective provinces), the objective of this pilot course is to adapt the contents to the specific health situation and the needs of Vietnam.

This course is part of InWEnt contribution to the German Development Cooperation Programme on Strengthen Provincial Health Systems. After finalizing the adaptation of the course in Vietnamese language, from 2009 it will be conducted regularly at HSPH for Vietnamese partner institutions.
