Within the framework of the project "Innovation Network South East Asia for TVET and Sustainable Development" supported by InWEnt for three countries Vietnam, Laos and Indonesia, one of the goals is the training of the methodologist in development of national skill standard.
In Laos and Vietnam the kick off workshops have been conducted where essential aspects of the methodology, approach, tools and procedure for skill standard setting were presented, compared, explained and discussed. After the training, more than 20 participants in each country, coming from companies, employer's associations, training providers... join different trade working groups (TWG) to work on their development projects.
In Laos, there are 4 TWG with the subjects of garment, construction, carpentry and printing. In Vietnam, the participants are sent to the TWG of the line ministries: Ministry of Industry & Trade, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Culture, Sport & Tourism... they are in charge of the development of the national skill standards.
We expect that these participants will be able to work as methodologist/facilitator in TWG for the development of the national skill standards in the future. More about InWEnt's Programme "Promotion of Technological Innovations in South-East Asia":
