On behalf of the German Development Cooperation and in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, InWEnt Regional Office Hanoi organized the international conference sustainable urban development forum (SUDF). About 250 delegates from Vietnam, Germany, Indonesia, China, Laos, and the Philippines joint the event.

The program of the German Development Cooperation on behalf of the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development within the city development sector has the objective to contribute to a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable management of the urban infrastructure. At present, the focus of German support lies on the sewerage and solid waste systems in medium sized provincial towns and essentially comprises three layers:
