| TRIPS – Follow-up workshop in Hanoi |

After a successful participation in the online phase of the "E-learning: Flexibilities of the TRIPS agreement" (which was hosted by InWEnt, GTZ and UNCTAD), 19 participants from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam were invited to a 5-days follow-up seminar in Hanoi from 7 - 11 December 2009. Participants were patent examiners, pharmacists, trade officials, IP-officials, quality assurance manager of Drug and Food Quality Agency etc. At the follow-up workshop, participants could share practical experiences in Intellectual Property Advocacy and Negotiation. They also concerned themselves with developing an action plan for their country and seize ideas for establishing a TRIPS-Alumni Forum, its future activities as well as for a close regional cooperation.
