As part of the ongoing cooperation activities of the project "Legal Capacity Building for the Office of the Government 2008-2010" InWEnt and the Office of the Government (OoG) organized a workshop to exchange knowledge on civil service law, human resources management and work flow management in a governmental central office.

The current reference of the workshop were the new Vietnamese law on civil servants, coming into effect on 1st January 2010 and the reformed German law, already in effect since 1st April 2009. Besides legal comparison senior experts and young executives from Vietnam also had the opportunity to practice personal management skills using team work methods. Participants included not only legal experts of the Office of Government. Specialists of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the National Academy for Public Administration (NAPA) and the National University also showed great interest and used the platform for networking and exchanging ideas. The lively discussion of the participants throughout the workshop revealed the necessity of review and information exchange.
